Disclaimer
Effective date: July 9, 2026
Welcome to WILD! Healing 2026 — "A Harvest of Medicine". This event and website (wildgala.com, together with the gathering, its virtual sessions, and all related content, the "Site" and the "Event") are presented by Restore Forward (also referenced at restoreny.org), in partnership with The Wellness Studio (together with our organizers, staff, speakers, healers, herbalists, farmers, wisdom keepers, physicians, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and affiliates, referred to here as "we," "us," "our," and the "Released Parties"). Please read this Disclaimer carefully. It contains important limitations on our responsibility and describes risks you assume by using the Site or participating in the Event. This Disclaimer works together with our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, which are incorporated here by reference.
By accessing or using the Site, or by registering for, attending, or participating in the Event (whether online or in person), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Disclaimer in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or participate in the Event.
1. Medical and Health Disclaimer — Please Read First
All content, sessions, presentations, speakers, the "medicine walk," herbalism master classes, farm immersion, plant and herbal information, ceremony, drumming, dancing, movement, food, and every other aspect of the Site and the Event are provided for GENERAL INFORMATIONAL, EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL, and INSPIRATIONAL purposes ONLY. They are offered in the spirit of shared learning, tradition, and community.
Nothing on the Site or at the Event is medical, health, mental-health, nutritional, or professional advice, and none of it constitutes a diagnosis, treatment, cure, prescription, or recommendation for any person, condition, or circumstance. Our content is not a substitute for — and should never be used in place of — the advice, diagnosis, treatment, or care of a qualified, licensed physician, mental-health professional, or other appropriate healthcare provider.
- No practitioner relationship. The presence or participation of healers, herbalists, farmers, wisdom keepers, physicians, or any other individual at the Event or on the Site does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, practitioner-client, or any other professional or fiduciary relationship, and does not constitute the practice of medicine, nursing, psychology, counseling, herbal medicine, or any licensed profession. No one is treating you, examining you, prescribing for you, or acting as your personal provider.
- Always consult your own provider first. Always seek and follow the advice of a qualified, licensed healthcare provider before making any health-related decision, before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment, medication, or care plan, and before beginning any practice, diet, fast, cleanse, breathwork, movement, or physical activity, or using any herb, plant, botanical, mushroom, supplement, tincture, remedy, or food featured, discussed, sampled, or provided in connection with the Site or the Event.
- Never disregard or delay care. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of anything you have read, heard, seen, or experienced through the Site or the Event. Reliance on any such information is solely at your own risk.
- Herbs, plants, and wellness statements. Herbs, plants, botanicals, and other natural substances can be powerful, can interact with medications, and can cause allergic or adverse reactions. Statements about any herb, plant, botanical, supplement, food, or wellness practice have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
- Individual suitability. Practices, foods, and substances that may be appropriate for one person may be harmful to another. You are responsible for determining, with your provider, what is safe and appropriate for you, including in light of any pregnancy, medical or mental-health condition, allergy, medication, or sensitivity.
IN A MEDICAL OR MENTAL-HEALTH EMERGENCY, CALL 911 (or your local emergency number) OR GO TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY. Do not rely on the Site or the Event for urgent or emergency care.
2. Assumption of Risk, Release, and Waiver
Your participation in the Event and your use of the Site are entirely VOLUNTARY. The Event includes online sessions (September 9–10, 2026), a travel day (September 11, 2026), and an in-person gathering "on the land" in Ava, New York, USA (September 12, 2026) — a feast and festival in the woods. Participation carries inherent and unavoidable risks. By participating, you knowingly, freely, and voluntarily assume ALL such risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable.
Inherent risks of the in-person gathering include, without limitation:
- the outdoor, rural, and natural setting, including uneven, wet, sloped, or wooded terrain, trails, water, fire, and low-light or nighttime conditions;
- weather and environmental conditions, sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and remoteness from medical facilities;
- wildlife, insects, ticks, and animals, and the diseases or reactions they may cause;
- exposure to plants, herbs, pollen, smoke, botanicals, food, and other potential allergens or irritants;
- physical activity such as walking, hiking the "medicine walk," farm activities, movement, dancing, and drumming, which may cause strain, falls, or injury;
- travel to and from a rural location, and communal living, dining, gathering, and ceremony;
- exposure to communicable illness inherent in any group gathering;
- risks of accident, illness, allergic or adverse reaction, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, emotional or psychological response, injury, disability, or, in the most serious cases, worse.
Risks of virtual and at-home participation:
Online sessions may include movement, breathwork, meditation, physical, or emotionally activating practices that you undertake alone and unsupervised, in your own space and at your own risk. We cannot see you, assess you, or intervene. You are responsible for a safe environment, for stopping any practice that causes discomfort, dizziness, pain, or distress, and for deciding — with your provider — whether any practice is appropriate for you.
You are solely and personally responsible for your own health, safety, and well-being, including your medical and mental-health conditions, allergies, sensitivities, medications, dietary needs, physical fitness, appropriate clothing and footwear, personal belongings, travel arrangements, and health, travel, and personal-liability insurance. You represent that you are physically and mentally fit to participate, that you have consulted your physician about your participation, and that you will not participate in any activity beyond your own capabilities.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you — on behalf of yourself, your family, heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns — hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, and covenant not to sue the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, injuries, illnesses, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to your participation in the Event, your use of the Site, or your presence at any Event location, whether caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, to the maximum extent the law allows.
You agree to follow all safety instructions, guidelines, and directions of Event staff and hosts, to respect the land, the community, and other participants, and to conduct yourself responsibly at all times. The Released Parties reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to refuse, remove, or require the departure of any person for unsafe, disruptive, intoxicated, or inappropriate conduct, or for the safety of any person, without refund or liability.
Registering others and minors. If you register for or bring any other person, including a minor, you represent that you are authorized to accept this Disclaimer on their behalf, you assume all risks and give the release above on their behalf, and you are responsible for their supervision, safety, and conduct at all times. The Event is intended for adults, and minors may attend only with, and under the continuous supervision of, a responsible adult who accepts these terms for them.
3. No Guarantee of Results
We make no promise, representation, warranty, or guarantee of any kind regarding any health, healing, medical, therapeutic, emotional, spiritual, wellness, or other outcome or result from the Site or the Event. Wellness and healing are deeply personal, and individual experiences and results vary widely. Any testimonial, story, or example shared is that individual's own experience and is not a prediction, promise, or guarantee of what you will experience.
4. Third-Party and External Content
Speakers, healers, herbalists, farmers, wisdom keepers, physicians, and other contributors express their own views, opinions, methods, and traditions. Their statements are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Released Parties, and we do not verify, adopt, endorse, or take responsibility for them.
The Site and the Event may reference or link to third-party websites, products, services, practitioners, practices, or content that we do not own or control, including the third-party registration and ticketing provider through which tickets are handled (for example, at institute-restoreny.org). Ticketing and payment are processed by that independent third party; we do not directly process payment on wildgala.com. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume any responsibility for any third-party content, product, service, provider, or practice, and any dealings you have with them are solely between you and that third party, subject to their own terms and policies. Please review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for more on third-party links and providers.
5. Allergies, Food, and Communal Activities
The Event includes communal food, feasting, plant and herbal tastings, and shared spaces. Food and other items may contain, or may have been prepared near, common allergens (including nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, eggs, shellfish, and others), as well as herbs, botanicals, and other plant materials. We may not be able to identify every ingredient or trace of an allergen.
You attend, eat, drink, sample, and participate entirely at your own risk. We encourage you to notify the organizers in advance of any allergy, sensitivity, dietary restriction, or medical need, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate, but we cannot and do not guarantee an allergen-free, contamination-free, or reaction-free environment. You are responsible for reviewing what you consume, carrying any medication you may need (such as an epinephrine auto-injector), and making your own decisions about what is safe for you.
6. Program Changes, Photography, and Media
We reserve the right, at any time and in our sole discretion, to change, substitute, reschedule, relocate, shorten, postpone, or cancel any part of the Event, its program, speakers, activities, or location, including for weather, safety, health, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, without liability to you. Any refund is governed solely by the third-party ticketing provider's policies and the Terms of Use.
The Event may be photographed, recorded, or streamed. By attending or participating, you acknowledge that your image, voice, or likeness may be captured and used by us for documentary, educational, or promotional purposes without further notice, compensation, or approval, except where prohibited by law. If you do not wish to be recorded, please notify staff and take reasonable steps to avoid being captured.
7. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the Released Parties be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any personal injury, illness, death, property damage, loss of data, or other loss, arising out of or relating to the Site, the Event, any content, or your participation, use, or reliance — whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the smallest amount permitted by that law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your participation in the Event, your violation of this Disclaimer, the Terms of Use, or the Privacy Policy, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
The medical and health information on the Site and at the Event is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. See the Terms of Use for additional warranty disclaimers and limitations.
8. Governing Law
This Disclaimer is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. If any provision of this Disclaimer is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be limited or modified to the minimum extent necessary. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including any mandatory consumer or statutory rights you may have in your jurisdiction. Additional details on jurisdiction and dispute resolution appear in the Terms of Use.
9. Your Acknowledgment and Agreement
BY USING THE SITE OR REGISTERING FOR, ATTENDING, OR PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS DISCLAIMER, THAT YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS DESCRIBED HERE, AND THAT YOU AGREE TO ITS TERMS, INCLUDING THE RELEASE, WAIVER, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNIFICATION ABOVE, ON YOUR OWN BEHALF AND ON BEHALF OF ANYONE FOR WHOM YOU REGISTER OR WHOM YOU BRING.
